4/27/17 – Great Rivers Greenway Foundation Welcomes Kevin Miller as Chief Development Officer

The recently established Great Rivers Greenway Foundation is pleased to welcome Kevin Miller, of Kirkwood, to serve as Chief Development Officer, leading fundraising efforts to support the citizen’s vision to connect the St. Louis region with greenways. He will work with the Great Rivers Greenway Foundation’s Board to support the mission and vision of Great Rivers Greenway. Miller will work to establish and maintain critical partnerships and collaborations that enhance the experience for visitors to the greenway and ensure the long-term success of the system.

His prior experience includes 10 years with Shriners Hospital for Children in St. Louis, where he most recently held the position of Senior Director of Development. During his time there, Miller was the lead development officer of a seven hospital, sixteen state region; overseeing development strategy, budgets, staffing and all philanthropic activity. Miller earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from McKendree College, Master of Science in Biology at St. Louis University and Master of Arts in Journalism at University of Missouri-Columbia.

As a development professional, he brings more than 20 years’ experience in every facet of the fundraising world to the effort, including projects specifically focused on land use and environmental protection. He was the principal drafter of the Chesapeake Bay Gateway and Watertrails Act, which enabled federal legislation resulting in a current network of 130 recreational and environmental sites in Maryland that connect residents and visitors to the Chesapeake Bay watershed experience.
