A 20-year veteran of the PR industry, Julie’s experience includes time as editor of a major metropolitan magazine, as well as two decades as principal of a St. Louis-based, WBE-certified public relations firm that has the honor of having client relationships dating back to the firm’s first year. Drawing on her first-hand knowledge of how the media works and how to project a positive image in the media, Julie has implemented numerous successful campaigns, ranging from grassroots community relations programs to national publicity efforts. She also has coordinated countless memorable events.

Clients Julie has served operate in both the public and private sectors, and are involved in variety of different industry sectors, including economic development, transit, construction, recreation, telecommunications, technology, healthcare, real estate and more. She and her team are adept at crafting messages that resonate and communicating complex information to diverse audiences.

As president of The Hauser Group, Julie plays a key role in developing media and community relations strategies for all clients and works to identify opportunities that exist or to create opportunities to generate positive stories in the media. She believes in a team approach to serving clients, and works closely with other staff members to ensure that the strategic plans for each account are on track, on budget and on target in terms of generating results for clients. She also has developed a series of powerful strategic alliances with branding and design firms, ad agencies, video and web production specialists and mail houses so that The Hauser Group can meet the whole spectrum of marketing needs for its clients.

Julie received a 2010 Women Influencing Now Regional Economic Development Award from Winning Women. The award recognized her accomplishments as a woman entrepreneur in the City of St. Louis and the direct influence her public relations efforts have had on furthering the economic development of the bi-state region.

A native of County Wexford, Ireland, Julie is a graduate of Washington University, where she earned her BA in Communications and Journalism. She is a board member of the Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois, long-time member of the Advisory Committee for the St. Louis Regional Clean Air Partnership, and a member of Public Relations Society of America.

that away from work, Julie’s other passion is food – cooking it, eating it, sharing it and finding great wines to pair with it. Her ideal job if she wasn’t running The Hauser Group? Host of a “Cooking with Kids” show on the Food Network Channel, so that she could involve her kids and help inspire others to embrace cooking as a family pastime over which memories are made.
