The Hauser Group and its employees have had the pleasure of working to advance the St. Louis region through our relationships with many clients in the economic development, recreation, environmental and healthcare arenas.  But our commitment to making St. Louis a better place to live, work and raise a family extends beyond what we do for work every day.  While we’re active in our own back yards, serving as neighborhood co-captains, coaches, Sunday school teachers and more, we also find various other ways to put our time and talents to work in the community.

Annual Holiday-Giving Initiative

Old Newsboys Day 2021

While we routinely pull out the company check book to support a range of worthy organizations, each year, we also have selected one or more charities to be the beneficiary of our annual holiday donation, made in honor of our clients.

In 2015, when we celebrated 20 years in business, we selected the Old Newsboys Campaign for Kids as the recipient of our donation, and we’ve continued our support of this wonderful initiative through a recurring annual holiday donation and as volunteers.

We particularly appreciate that Old Newsboys supports dozens of other area charities that serve at risk children, while giving local high school students the opportunity to become published journalists.

Pro Bono Work

We regularly provide our services free of charge to help existing non-profit clients do more than their budgets can support. Examples of our contributions include:

PR Support for Ageless – Remarkable St. Louisans, an award-winning initiative that honors area individuals who are redefining retirement. We provided hundreds of hours of pro bono media relations services for this annual event, the primary fundraiser for St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors Charitable Foundation, which supports the provision of housing and supportive services to low-income and at-risk seniors in the St. Louis area, as well as the extension of financial aid to residents who have exhausted their resources. Each year, the organization serves more than 8,700 people and has provided more than $2 million in charitable care.

Development of Abilene Award nomination
Leadership Council Abilene TrophyFrom 2012 through 2015, we were pleased to donate time beyond our contract agreement with the Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois to assist with the development of its application for the coveted Abilene Trophy, successfully capturing this honor for our region in two of those four years. Also known as the Air Mobility Command Community Support Award, the Abilene Trophy is presented annually to recognize the community that provides the finest support to an Air Mobility Command Unit. The St. Louis Region was honored for the extensive support it demonstrated to the airmen of Scott Air Force Base, and their families, during 2012 and 2014. We greatly appreciate all that the men and women of Scott AFB do for our nation every day, and we were proud to have played a role in helping to bring the Abilene Trophy to our region . . . twice!

Bronze sponsorship of Fair Saint Louis in Forest Park – In 2014, the Hauser Group was honored to have been selected to provide public relations and strategic communications support for Fair Saint Louis as the event made its historic move to Forest Park. Awed by the fact that this remarkable community event is provided as a gift to the community each year by the Fair Saint Louis Foundation and its army of volunteers, and recognizing that the communications needs during this transition year would be beyond the Foundation’s budget, The Hauser Group stepped up as a bronze level sponsor to provide the additional time needed on a pro bono basis. Our efforts generated extensive media coverage which helped educate the public on the new location, thrilling new event elements, and the best ways to get to and from the Fair. Our work contributed to the success of Fair Saint Louis 2014, which drew approximately 250,000 to Forest Park over the July 4th weekend. We returned as a Fair’s PR partner in 2015 and again served as a bronze level sponsor for what proved to be another remarkable experience in Forest Park.

St. Louis Regional Clean Air Partnership, Advisory Committee Member – For more than 25 years, Julie Hauser has served on the advisory committee of the St. Louis Regional Clean Air Partnership and provided countless hours of additional staff time pro bono to support The Partnership’s work to increase awareness of regional air quality issues and to encourage activities to reduce air pollution emissions for the health and economic well-being of our region.
