2/21/12 – U.S. Cellular announces several Missouri counties that are next in line to experience 4G LTE Speeds

Columbia, Mo. (Feb. 21, 2012) – U.S. Cellular (NYSE: USM), in conjunction with its partner, King Street Wireless, announced that parts of 31 Missouri counties will be among the next areas to experience high-speed 4G LTE services. The network enhancement includes more than 260 Missouri communities spread across Boone, Cole, Callaway, Adair, Clark, Macon, Pike, Clinton, Chariton, Knox, Marion, Audrain, Shelby, Scotland, Dallas, Randolph, Lewis, Ralls, Cole, Monroe, Perry, Clay, Moniteau, Montgomery, Pettis, Howard, Saline, Newton, Howell, Jasper and Cooper counties. With the addition of 4G LTE speeds in the second half of 2012, area residents will enjoy an enhanced wireless experience with countless entertainment possibilities and ways to help simplify and organize their lives.

Customers will enjoy faster web browsing and speedy app downloads with access to 4G LTE speeds that are up to 10 times faster than 3G and similar to a cable Internet connection. 4G LTE speeds allow customers to begin watching a movie in seconds, enjoy smoother video streaming with little to no buffering and experience seamless video chatting with family or business colleagues.

4G LTE devices will be available in all U.S. Cellular stores beginning with the Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 10.1 in March, so customers can purchase the most cutting-edge 4G LTE devices when they want them and use them on U.S. Cellular’s high-quality 3G network, and receive all of the benefits of 4G LTE speeds when it comes to their area. The Samsung Galaxy S® Aviator smartphone and the Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot will follow the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab™ this spring, and additional devices will be available throughout the rest of the year.
